Michal Tahan is a ceramic artist whose work explores tactile forms, natural textures, and calm, cool tones. Her ceramics celebrate craftsmanship and imperfection, reflecting a grounded and authentic aesthetic.
I designed and built a new portfolio website from scratch for Michal using Wix, creating a digital space that mirrors the natural and calm atmosphere of her studio.
Michal wanted an online presence that captured the calm, honest character of her practice.
She already had a clear vision for the colors and mood, inspired by her ceramics.
My goal was to translate that vision into a cohesive, tactile digital experience that she could easily manage on her own.
Following her creative direction, I designed the full site structure — combining the homepage and gallery into one clear and immersive experience.
At her request, I digitized one of her ceramic tiles into a logo, creating a direct and personal link to her handmade work.
I also created custom icons and handled photo editing to preserve the subtle, cool tones of her ceramics.
To ensure flexibility, I built the site using a Wix CMS (Conatent Manager System), allowing her to update new works by simply editing a table.
The entire design was created with responsiveness in mind, ensuring a consistent experience across all devices.
